Launched in 2020 by Founder/Director Nathan Granner, A Lab Studios is a full-service production house, specializing in visceral storytelling and radical re-imagining of the operatic form, for both the live and virtual stages. We share a conviction to champion new voices, ideas and stories that resonate with today’s diverse audiences.
The thought to do great work inspires all of us. Opera, as an art form, is an artistic tool to foster those greater aspirations. From the composer's desk to the sound hitting the ears and beyond is a community of individuals, collected to bring that vision to life.
There are myriad of ways to experience Opera. A Lab Studios is bringing its own reflections of life to tell traditional and contemporary stories. We are telling these stories in different ways.
In essence we are creating more repertoire experiences by more people, for more people.
