A LAB STUDIOS is an open-armed theatrical venture to expand the experience of music.
Welcome to A Lab Studios
Elevating the Art of Music
A Lab Studios is the brainchild of acclaimed opera singer Nathan Granner, who has captivated audiences on national and international stages for three decades. Our mission is to create musical products and productions that deepen the connection between artists and their fans.
Connecting Artists and Fans
At A Lab Studios, we believe in championing new voices and stories that resonate with today's diverse audiences. Our innovative products and features, such as artist dashboards, live interactions, and personalized music experiences, foster deeper connections between artists and their fans.
A Vision for the Future
We are committed to creating an ecosystem that encourages artistic collaboration and discovery. Our product pipeline right now includes developing prototypes for Curiyo Embedded and the Curiyo Cabinet app, securing artist endorsements, building AI-enabled music personalization features, and implementing blockchain technology for NFT automation and security.
Our Commitment
Opera, as an art form, is a powerful tool for inspiring greater aspirations. From the composer's desk to the audience's ears, A Lab Studios is dedicated to bringing these visions to life through innovative storytelling and musical experiences. The start of the 20th century hailed the invention of the Grammophone record. The great opera star Enrico Caruso ushered in this new age and we feel that opera can once again be that bridge to a new era. We look forward and back at the same time.
There are myriad of ways to experience Opera. A Lab Studios is bringing its own reflections of life to tell traditional and contemporary stories. We are telling these stories in different ways.
In essence we are creating more repertoire experiences by more people, for more people.
Introducing Curiyo Embedded
Still in development, Curiyo Embedded represents a new frontier in music experience, blending physical music artifacts with digital streaming. Our signature product, the Bijou, is a beautifully crafted physical album that will integrate seamlessly with the Curiyo Cabinet app, providing a unique and interactive platform for artists and fans.
Collectible Artistry
Curiyo Embedded is Collectible Artistry.
Imagine holding a new album of your favorite artist in your hand, but it isn’t a flat piece of vinyl. It is a meticulously crafted, wirelessly powered art object that reflects the soul of the music embedded inside. Pair it with your Bluetooth speaker or plug in an aux cable and push play. It is what we lovingly refer to as a Bijou.
Curiyo Embedded: Revolutionizing music consumption with physical albums that offer an interactive and collectible experience.
The Bijou: A visually appealing and unique physical album designed for music collectors and enthusiasts.
Curiyo Cabinet App: A comprehensive platform featuring artist dashboards, live streams, Q&A sessions, exclusive announcements, and NFT functionality for authentication and ownership.
We have been working on Curiyo Embedded for quite a bit, so though we don’t necessarily have new A Lab content, we ARE quite busy. Below are some cool productions we created.

During the course of the pandemic, A_Labs (based in Long Beach) and Brendan Hartnett (based in New Jersey) joined forces, and with an old movie camera, a few lights, a 2012 Macbook Pro, and a Zoom connection, the team found a way to film and direct from across the continent.
We premiered the production at The Lensic Center for the Performing Arts in Santa Fe, NM.

Thomson has become a stranger in his own home town. That's one reason the event was significant. The other was the inspired collection of local musicians assembled by Nathan Granner.
